Monday's Jackpot - Location Change to Lewiston

Preston's arena had a scheduling conflict for Monday's jackpot on June 3. We have decided to move the jackpot to Lewiston in order to keep the date. We will try to switch out a Lewiston jackpot for Preston to make up the difference later.

Entries are still open by email until Sunday at 9:00 p.m. You may also call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to enter on Sunday night. Also, please let me know if you will not be able to make it to Lewiston and I will scratch you out of the draw.

Lewiston Results 05-20

The results from last night's barrel race in Lewiston are posted below.  We had a great turn out for the weather.  The ground was also fabulous for the amount of rain we received over the weekend.  A big thanks to Kim & Ellis Layne and Heath Hillman for helping get the ground ready and great to run in!

Our next jackpot will be June 3 in PRESTON.  We thank Cache County for working with us to run in Logan last week, but unfortunately Cache County fairgrounds costs too much money for us to continue running with them without punishing the members by taking money out of the pot.  (Visit their website cachecounty.org to see the fees.)

Thanks again to EVERYONE that helped last night set barrels, poles, check the timers, man the gates, announce, take money, and work the arena.  It was nice to see some new faces helping out!  :)

STILL ON for Lewiston

We are still planning on running in Lewiston tonight. The weather forecast says 67 degrees by 4:00, partly cloudy, and 0% chance of rain (although those weathermen seem to lie to us once in a while)! There is no standing water in the arena and your shoes hardly get wet when you walk through it.

If we do, by chance, get a massive thunderstorm that comes through later this afternoon and we decide to cancel, I will send out a mass email and post to the website a notification for the cancellation. If you decide not to run tonight, please let me know via text at 435-232-0775. I will be at work until this afternoon, so text or email is the easiest way to reach me.

Lewiston Draw 05-20

The draw for tomorrow's race is posted below.  We are still planning on running (cross your fingers the weather holds out).  If we do cancel the barrel race, an email will be sent out ASAP and a notification will be posted to the website as well.

Time Only Barrels Before - we will run time only barrels right up until 6:00 so that we can start the youth barrels on time at 6:30.  Please remember that time only barrels are restricted to the first 35 runners that sign up.  IF THERE IS TIME, we will run as many as we can up til 6:00.

Logan Results 05-13

The results from last night's barrel race in Logan are posted below.  A HUGE THANK YOU goes to those who helped last night, from announcing, timing, setting barrels, setting poles, watching the gates, grooming the arena, and helping stake the arena.  We appreciate your help more than you know!  Without our volunteers, we cannot put on these jackpots, so please thank the helpers when you get a chance.  

I apologize for the late start with time only runs and the youth barrels.  We generally start staking the arena at 4:00, and there was only one person staking until about 4:30 when a second person volunteered, then 4:45 two others came to help, and another at 5:15.  If you get to the arena before 5:00 from now on, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help us stake the arena so we can start ON TIME.  The more people that help, the faster the arena is ready to ride in.  My poor, wimpy muscles just couldn't do the trick through the hard pan by myself!  It generally takes at least 4 people to stretch out the tape, dig the holes, and pound the 11 stakes into the ground.  Plus, the sooner we get the arena staked, the sooner we can start time only runs and ensure that EVERYONE can run the time onlys before time runs out.  

**A huge thank you to Jamie Olsen, Bailey Harris, Mckinzie Harris, Ellis Layne, and everyone else that contributed in the process of staking last night for helping out me and my wimpy muscles!!
