Awards Banquet RSVP - LAST CALL for Dinner!!

This is the last call for letting us know if you are attending the awards banquet on Monday, November 9th! We need your RSVP reservation by this WEDNESDAY!!!

Members will get their meals for FREE. Non-members will be charged $5 at the door per plate. Meat and potatoes will be provided. In order to maintain low costs for our members and their families, please bring the following potluck meal contribution to the banquet to share:

*A-L (last name) - please bring a dessert to share
*M-Z (last name) - please bring a side dish/salad to share

The top 5 in each division will be receiving awards that night. We also have a gift to give to EVERY member - a free jacket! IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT TO THE BANQUET, PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO PICK UP YOUR AWARD OR MEMBER GIFT. We will not mail gifts or awards!!!!!!!!!!!

Attached are the results from last night's jackpot in Lewiston. A huge thank you to the Layne family for helping get the arena ready on such short notice. The arena turned out GREAT considering moody Mother Nature lately (rather, this entire season). Also thank you to Jill Wanner, Ellis Layne, all the barrel setters, Wes Harris, and the King & Hillman families for helping stake the arena. Without the help, our barrel races are not possible.

Awards will be given to the top 5 places in each division. Ties will be broken based on number of jackpots attended; if there is still a tie, it will then be broken based on number of monies earned in that division.

***PLUS!! ALL YOUTH MEMBERS THAT ATTENDED 5 JACKPOTS WILL RECEIVE A CONSOLATION AWARD AT THE BANQUET, regardless of points earned!! The awards banquet is scheduled for November 9 in the Robinson Building at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Preston.

Lewiston Results 09-21

Below are the results from last night's barrel race in Lewiston.

A big thank you goes out to the Ellis & Kim Layne family for preparing the arena for us. Over the weekend, the arena was a mud hole! They spent hours (yet again, thanks to Mother Nature) getting it ready to run in over the weekend and dried out for us. Please thank Ellis and Kim for their hours of work and use of their tractor for getting Lewiston's arena in prime condition.

Also thank you to Heath Hillman for running the tractor all night, Jill Wanner for announcing and taking money/entries, and all our gate & arena help.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOLUNTEER HELPING SET A BARREL/POLE/GATE if possible!  We are on a lack of volunteers lately and everyone needs a break when they are standing in the arena all night.  So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help if you can!  Also, if you arrive at the arena and the arena is still being staked, we always welcome extra hands while staking the arena!!  :)  Thank you to all families that help the Association ahead of time.

Preston Results 09-14

Below are the results from last night's race in Preston. A huge thank you to those who stepped up to help get the jackpot started. We realize it is a pain in the wazoo to volunteer at these jackpots and crawl in and out of the arena over and over again to set up barrels. Opening gates all night isn't on everyone's bucket list either. But this is why we collect the extra dollar at entry time - to try to pay the gate/barrel/pole setters for lack of volunteers. Until we had 5 volunteers, we weren't able to start the jackpot.

So PLEASE, if you are ABLE, volunteer your time at our jackpots. A five minute break is heaven for a barrel setter when he/she is sitting there all night without a break. Stateline Jackpot Association is a volunteer association and without our volunteers, we are unable to keep these jackpots running.

With that said, a huge thank you goes to Wes Harris for getting the arena in fantastic condition over the weekend and all Monday for us, plus running the tractor all night. Also thank you to Heath Hillman and family for helping stake the arena and Jill Wanner for helping announce. AND A GIGANTIC APPRECIATION GOES TO THOSE THAT JUMPED IN THE ARENA/GRABBED A GATE SO WE COULD KEEP THE JACKPOT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND QUICKLY LAST NIGHT!!
