Year End Awards Banquet

Thanks everyone for a great season. We've had lots of fun.

Our year end awards banquet will be Monday, November 7th at the Robinson Building at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Preston.

Please mark it on your calendars and plan on coming. There will be something for every member! Please get your sponsorship money or items in asap (or sooner).

Last Jackpot

Monday, October 3rd will be our last jackpot of the 2011 season. Please remember to pre-enter. The jackpot will be in Tremonton in the outdoor arena unless the weather does not cooperate. In that case it will be in the indoor arena.

Points have been emailed. If you did not get them please e-mail me at stateline@plmw.com and I will send them to you.

Lewiston cancellation

So sorry everyone for the last minute cancellation of the jackpot in Lewiston. It is so hard to make those kind of decisions. The majority said that they didn't want to run so we went with that. I wish we could have known sooner what the weather was going to do.
We just want everyone to know how much we appreciate your understanding.
We will let you know on the dates for the rescheduled jackpots.

Sorry for all the changes. Tremonton called us back and said that their arena is now available for MONDAY, APRIL 18TH. There will be plenty of parking, warm up area and bathrooms. Entries are now being taken by e-mail. If you have previously entered please let us know that you are still planning on this date and location. SEE YOU ALL SOON! Please tell others who may not know.

Jackpot date change - Wed. April 20th

Due to a scheduling conflict we are rescheduling the jackpot for the 18th. We will for this time only (hopefully) have our jackpot on a Wednesday. It will be at either the S-S arena OR in Tremonton. We are still waiting for confirmation. We should know by Thursday or Friday this week. If you have already entered by e-mail for the 18th please re-enter for the 20th. Sorry for the confusion.

April 18th Jackpot at the S-S indoor arena.

We will be having our first Stateline Jackpot at the S-S indoor arena on Monday, April 18th! The S-S arena is located between Weston & Malad in the canyon. There is plenty of parking but no bathroom facilities yet. We are thankful to find somewhere with dry ground to run. We will have open riding from 6:00 to 6:30. Jackpot to begin following a full rake. Let's get going!!!

Time to get running some barrels! We're looking forward to the upcoming season. Jackpots to start in mid April. Dates and arenas are still being finalized but we will continue with a season of 10 jackpots to be held on Monday nights.

We are still looking for some additional help this year. Heather and I are going to continue this season but would like a bigger committee to help out.

Arena - scheduling of arenas, ground care, staking, find barrel and pole setters for each jackpot, transport arena equipment(barrels, poles, eye, stakes).

Office - take entries & memberships, record and audit times, announce, arrange for sound system.

If we could find one person for each of these jobs that would be great. This volunteer would then arrange for others to help as it takes several people in the arena and at least 2 in the office at each jackpot. If you would be willing to help please contact us by e-mail. You would need to be able to be to every jackpot by 5:00 until finished or arrange for someone to be there for you.

We appreciate the help. We'll post the schedule as soon as we have all the arenas scheduled.
